Hi there

I'm Neal. This is my web site.

I first created it because I was moving to Hungary to teach English and I wanted a way to share my experience with friends back in the US. So what you'll find here are tidbits of thought and images of my life.

I lived in Hungary for four fantastic years. While in Hungary, I taught English in a Hungarian public high school. I loved my job. But more than simply enjoying it, I really feel that it was what I was supposed to be doing at the time. My faith plays an enormous role in my life and it was this faith that led me to ESI, which then led me to teach in Hungary.

Now I am moving on to the next stage in my life. I am moving to Boston Mass, to go to Seminary at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. It was a hard decision to leave the job and people I loved, but it was for the same reason that I went there. I feel sure that this is what I am supposed to do. So for that reason, I am looking forward to finding out where this next step leads me.

This is the third interation of my web site. It's been around for about 7 years now. So poke around, look, and enjoy. Come back again too. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or criticisms.

Geeky Things

This web site was made on my lovely little Apple Powerbook. Mostly using Dreamweaver and BBEdit. It's a funny combination od HTML, XHTML, CSS, and PHP. I wrote most things myself, but to make it easier to update pictures and journal entries, the site is managed with Moveable Type.
