  We had out first performance

We had out first performance of the annual ESI Christmas pageant tonight. It was a riot. It was a little 1 hour bit about God's grace written by some other teachers here. It has some comedy, some serious stuff, and lots of singing. We actually had more than a hundred people come to watch it! We didn't practice much though, so a lot of it was impromptu. The crowd seemed to love it though, and we had a great time. The best part though, was that a dozen or so of our students came to the show. They seemed to really like it, so I look forward to seeing what doors this opens for us.

  December already

Whew, it's December already. I can't believe how fast time is flying.

American things seem to be popular here, but often the zest for making lots of American products in English takes an upper hand to making accurate items. For example. Yesterday I saw an NFL jacket for the Buffalo Redskins. Other sports jackets spotted here by fellow ESIers are the San Francisco 59ers, and the Indiana Falcons.

To reduce pickpocketing and vandalism on the metros, several security firms were hired to provide guards on the trains. The two biggest are Discrate Security (probably supposed to be "discrete") and Top Secret Security. The humorous part for me is that they wear jackets with the company name emblazoned on the back in huge letters. They are nether discrate or secretive.
